REPORT : Oba Femi, a Nigerian wrestler, defeats Lesnar in his WrestleMania debut……….

In less than five minutes during his WrestleMania debut on Sunday, Nigerian professional wrestler Isaac Odugbesan, better known by his stage name Oba Femi, defeated ten-time WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

The match, which was one of the main events at WrestleMania 42, ended dramatically when the 27-year-old Nigerian defeated the veteran.

After the fight, Lesnar left his wrestling equipment in the ring, a move that is commonly interpreted in professional wrestling as a declaration of retirement.

Former NXT champion Oba Femi, popularly known as “The Ruler,” has only been on the WWE main roster for three months.

Before Lesnar momentarily took control with a string of attacking maneuvers, the two wrestlers tested each other’s strength at the start of the match.

Femi, however, took the strain and replied with a commanding performance, turning the tide in his favor.

Lesnar delivered an F5, but Femi bounced back fast, delivering a chokeslam before securing the pinfall victory with his ‘Fall From Grace’ sit-out powerbomb.

Fans’ reactions to the unexpected victory swiftly made the fight a hot topic of conversation on social media.

Former shot put competitor Femi holds two NXT titles and one NXT North American title.

Odugbesan, who was born in Lagos, participated in track and field while in school before joining WWE’s NIL program in 2021.

He later won the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge in 2024 and the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament in 2023.

Fans reacted loudly when Femi issued a message to Roman Reigns, also referred to as the “Original Tribal Chief,” at the WrestleMania Sunday post-show, hinting at a potential championship challenge before the year was up.
