Has Alberto Del Rio joined the WWE again?
When WWE revealed that it had purchased Mexico’s AAA Lucha Libre promotion, it caused a huge stir. WWE’s exact plans for the venerable business are yet unknown, but Triple H stated that AAA will remain “the premier destination for wrestling in Mexico.”
Ernesto Ocampo of Superluchas revealed on Monday that Alberto Del Rio and the following AAA performers had inked deals with WWE:
Hijo de Dr. Wagner Hijo del Vikingo La Parka La Hiedra Lady Maravilla and Lady Flammer Hamburguesa Niño
Lady Flammer, Lady Maravilla Hamburguesa Niño, the Hijo of the Vikingo Hiedra, and Dr. 7 La Parka’s residences
In an update, the @luchablog Twitter/X account stated that WWE didn’t “give” Alberto Del Rio a contract. In actuality, WWE is likely assuming responsibility for the contract that Alberto signed with AAA last year. They also noted that Ocampo will likely know more details about the contract statuses, but the situation was evolving since it was first announced last month.
on a subsequent update, Ocampo stated that the AAA wrestlers would be included on the roster for the competition in Mexico. Nonetheless, some of them, like as Vikingo, might be able to join NXT in joint events in the US.
