A recent report sheds light on Seth Rollins’ condition after it appears that he injured his knee during last night’s WWE Saturday Night Main Event.
Unfortunately, it appears like Rollins’ injury is legitimate, according to a recent report from Sean Ross Sap of Fightful Select. According to Sapp, Rollins was on crutches and wearing a knee brace backstage at the current WWE Evolution. Rollins’ injuries “looked bad” immediately after he was assisted backstage at SNME, according to the brief report.
What what happened to Rollins is unknown. Rollins set up a moonsault from the middle rope on the other side of the ring and hit a springboard senton during a match against LA Knight at SNME. Rollins landed awkwardly on his knee as Knight rolled out of the way to avoid it. Commentary said he must have hurt his knee, as he rolled to the ropes. The referee then attempted to check on Rollins, but he dragged himself to the corner.
After Seth Rollins conferred with the referee and Paul Heyman, the doctor emerged into the ring. After a brief conversation between Rollins and the doctor, the match was resumed after Rollins got back up. Knight rushed Rollins and struck the BFT as he limped over. Without delay, Knight raised his arms and made the cover. But he was clearly furious with the injuries and the last-minute conclusion, and he was heard screaming “f*ck” before he left the ring.
Rollins was previously sidelined for over a year in 2015 after tearing his ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus. Rollins also had surgery after WrestleMania 40 to fix a torn meniscus he has been grappling with.
