BREAKING NEWS : Novak Djokovic makes the anticipated choice prior to Wimbledon………..

Despite not entering any major tournaments prior to Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic will still have some activity this week as he has confirmed his attendance at an exhibition tournament in Hurlingham.

Throughout his career, the Serb, who is now ranked sixth in the world, has favored playing just one or two exhibition matches the week prior to events. The 38-year-old made it apparent that he intended to follow the same path this year after refusing to participate in any ATP grass tournaments.

The organizers of the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic today revealed that Djokovic will be competing in Hurlingham this year. The 24-time Grand Slam champion is scheduled to play his first and most likely only match on Friday, even though the Hurlingham exhibition begins on Tuesday.

The Hurlingham Club will host Djokovic for the fourth time in a row. Felix Auger Aliassime (2022), Frances Tiafoe (2023), and Daniil Medvedev (2024) participated in one match each of the previous three years and won each time.

Hurlingham has helped Djokovic prepare for Wimbledon.

After competing in the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, the Serb advanced to the Wimbledon final each time. He placed second in 2023 and 2024 and advanced all the way to The Championships in 2022. Given that he views Wimbledon as his “best shot” at winning another Grand Slam championship, he will undoubtedly be hoping for something similar this year.

“Next up is Wimbledon, which was my favorite tournament as a kid. After losing the French Open, Djokovic remarked, “I think my best chances are maybe Wimbledon to win another Slam or faster hard court, maybe Australia or something like that.”
