BREAKING NEWS ; A tennis player was suspended after being charged with “committing a major offense.”……

Leonardo Aboian, an Argentine tennis player, has been placed on provisional suspension by the International Tennis Integrity Agency until his anti-corruption charges are fully investigated.

According to the program’s part stating that there is a possibility that the former world No. 229 has committed a serious offense and that the sport’s integrity could be jeopardized without a suspension, he has been given a provisional ban.

“The integrity of tennis would be undermined in the absence of a Provisional Suspension, and the harm resulting from the absence of a Provisional Suspension outweighs the hardship of the Provisional Suspension on the Covered Person,” states the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program’s section on the possibility that the Covered Person has committed a major offense.

Since September 19, 2025, Aboian, 27, has been under provisional suspension. An impartial Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO) was not consulted in his appeal.

The Argentine cannot participate in, coach at, or attend any tennis competition that has been approved by the French Tennis Federation, Wimbledon, the US Open, Tennis Australia, the ATP, WTA, ITF, or any other national federation while he is under provisional suspension.
