Emma Raducanu Falls to Anna Kalinskaya in Mubadala Citi DC Open Semi-Finals

 

Washington, D.C. – July 27, 2025 — British tennis star Emma Raducanu’s impressive run at the Mubadala Citi DC Open came to an end Saturday as she was defeated by Russia’s Anna Kalinskaya in the semi-finals. Kalinskaya claimed the victory in straight sets, advancing to her first final at the tournament.

Raducanu, 22, had shown promising form throughout the week, earning notable wins to reach the last four. However, she struggled to find rhythm against the consistent and aggressive play of Kalinskaya, who broke early in both sets and maintained control throughout much of the match.
