BREAKING NEWS : After a terrible crash, a legendary driver might never race again………

After a terrible fiery crash that put him in the hospital in June, legendary NHRA racer John Force might never be able to compete again.

After suffering a catastrophic head injury in the June 2024 collision, there were speculations that Force would be able to resume racing later this month.

Jack Beckman, a driver for John Force Racing, recently told Autoweek that there is no truth to the reports that Force is about to make a comeback.

Undoubtedly untrue. He said, “I don’t know where that started.”

It was over a year ago when John Force experienced “a catastrophic engine failure that sent his Funny Car slamming into a concrete guardwall at 302 miles per hour.”

Force sustained further injuries from the collision, such as a cracked sternum, in addition to a traumatic brain injury.

John Force has won Funny Car 16 times and has 157 Funny Car victories overall. Over five decades, he has won 157 battles. Another championship-winning driver is Force’s daughter, Brittany Force.

When Force was discharged from Barrow Neurological Institute last July, his racing team gave an update on his health and future plans.

Force will “continue to work with therapists specializing in [traumatic brain injuries],” according to the report, but “it will now be on an outpatient basis in California.”

“Outpatient speech therapy and occupational and physical therapy will be the next step in the recovery process to address any remaining short-term memory and cognitive issues.”

Force “is continuing to rehab from a Traumatic Brain Injury suffered in a 300 mile per hour crash last June in Richmond, Va,” according to his bio on the official website.
