WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan challenged WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella during her return to “WWE Raw” this week. Another WWE Hall of Famer is expected to return next week when “Raw” comes from Green Bay, Wisconsin, according to a recent story.
PWI Elite reports that Goldberg, a former WWE Universal Champion, will make an appearance on the June 16 episode of “Raw.” It is also anticipated that Goldberg will be frequently featured on WWE’s red brand in the weeks preceding the company’s takeover of Atlanta, Georgia. Goldberg hinted last month that his retirement match will take place in “The South,” which reporters subsequently determined to be the city of Atlanta, albeit tentatively.
WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event, “The Big Peach,” and The Great American Bash are scheduled for July 12. According to earlier sources, Goldberg’s appearance at WWE SNME was being considered. PWI pointed out that although SNME appears to be the most likely location for Goldberg’s retirement match, they were unable to provide absolute confirmation.
In October 2024, Goldberg was last seen by WWE fans at the Bad Blood premium live event, where “The Ring General” GUNTHER verbally attacked the WWE Hall of Famer and his son, Gage. Then, intending to get aggressive, Goldberg leaped the barricade, but security stopped him. According to reports, WWE made a case for Goldberg to return on this week’s “Raw” in Phoenix, which concluded with GUNTHER regaining the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, they ultimately decided against it. Goldberg lost to Roman Reigns in the 2022 Elimination Chamber event, which was his final in-ring appearance.
