Big Chelsea transfer news has been leaked by Fabrizio Romano, who claims that it’s a question of when rather than if they will sign their next addition.
Chelsea’s transfer market is extremely busy as they attempt to close deals in the days leading up to the June 10th Club World Cup transfer deadline.
This is the final opportunity for teams to acquire players for the competition this summer, and Chelsea is hoping to add one or two more.
Clubs can then recruit fresh players for the remainder of the summer season when the transfer market reopens on June 16.
Chelsea is working to finalize the Maignan transaction.
This transfer window, and ideally prior to the Club World Cup, the Blues hope to sign Mike Maignan from AC Milan. But according to all the most recent reports, things don’t appear to be going very well for this one at the moment.
Chelsea’s initial offer for Maignan was reportedly turned down by Milan yesterday as both parties haggle over the price.
In my opinion, Chelsea’s refusal to spend approximately £25 million to get a top-tier goalkeeper who would elevate them to the most crucial position on the field is incomprehensible. You go, though.
The other person they want is Gittens.
Additionally, Hugo Ekitike is now coveted by Chelsea but does not appear to be in a good position at the moment.
You will be happy to hear the more optimistic news regarding that one, though, if you are a fan of Jamie Gittens from Dortmund. It appears that it is now bound to happen.
According to Fabrizio Romano, via X:
“I believe Jamie Gittens’s situation is a matter of time now. Dortmund and Chelsea are collaborating on the add-ons.
