BREAKING NEWS : Another WWE NXT name has been dropped……

In an emotional statement announcing her departure, Dani Palmer states that she is “officially closing out [her] athletic career.”

Since at least WrestleMania I, Sean Rueter has been obsessively thinking about professional wrestling, and since about WrestleMania 28, he has been blogging about it for SBNation & Cageside Seats.

We found out yesterday (May 2) that nine NXT stars (along with five from the main roster) have either been released by WWE or had contracts that were not extended.

We discovered another name today. On Instagram, Dani Palmer posted the news and a photo of herself with her boyfriend, Tank Ledger, the current NXT Tag champion

The past three years have been incredible, and I am grateful to WWE for introducing me to the love of my life! Although formally ending my sports career is a sad feeling, I can honestly say that I gave it my all—literally. Our bodies are a gift, and I’ve been very fortunate to have mine. I’m excited about this next phase! I am very excited about the tremendous dreams God has been given me about reviving my business! I appreciate everyone’s support. ❤️❤️

Since joining WWE in 2022, Palmer has struggled with injuries, as you can likely infer from her writing. She had to have double hip surgery last year, which kept her out for the majority of the year. Her final matches were recorded back in February and were available on Evolve. It appears that the former Baylor University national champion in tumbling and acrobatics has chosen to end more than just her professional wrestling career with her departure from the WWE.

We at Cageside wish Palmer and the other 15 jobless people the best of luck in their future endeavors.
